The Explorers.

The Explores, Falling For The Nightlife, 1984.
From the ashes of Roxy Music, which they sound like . Phil Manzanera here again with this his band.I went to see these live in a small club in Nottingham, I cant remember its name, but there wern´t many people there. I rememeber Andy MaKay also from Roxy, standing so close I could really watch him play sax, brilliant.
They never had a hit.

David Bowie, London Boys, 1967
This is probably my oldest post.I loved this song the first time i heard it and its still one of my faves of Bowie.I wasn´t too keen on his early stuff except for this Space Oddity, and,In The Heat Of The Morning.
London Boys was originally a b-side to Rubber Band, then it was re-released after Space oddity was a hit again in 1975.Bowie also re-recorded it for his Toy album in 2002 which was never released.
Marc Almond has just covered it on his latest album Stardom Road, 2007 so i´ve included that too.
